episode 6 - shah squad fraud

In this emergency episode we discuss the recent, shocking arrest of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member, Jen Shah. We explain how the alleged scheme functioned, what the charges against her are, our thoughts on Coach Shah's involvement, what a grand jury investigation entails, and how sentencing works. We can only assume this will be a multi-part series as Jen's case proceeds.

In case you’re not familiar with Jen Shah, here’s a video of her freaking out for over 4 minutes. We’re disengaging with this behavior. #brooksmarkswasright

In this video Jen Shah explains her job, calling herself “The Wizard of Oz behind the curtain.”

In contrast to Jen, here’s what Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said: “Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself as a wealthy and successful business person on ‘reality’ television, and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah’s ‘first assistant,’ allegedly generated and sold ‘lead lists’ of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam. In actual reality and as alleged, the so-called business opportunities pushed on the victims by Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators were just fraudulent schemes, motivated by greed, to steal victims’ money. Now, these defendants face time in prison for their alleged crimes.”
